Favorite Lush Products

favorite lush products 2

when i was teen i use to hate walking by the LUSH store at the mall! it had that super strong smell and i never went inside. little did i know, they would be carrying my favorite products everrrr. haha. i ended up going into the store with my friend years back and realized how great their products were. i was so in awe of the bath bomb collection that its become a tradition now to gift them to my girl friends for Christmas! :)

one of the reasons i decided to switch to Lush was because i really wanted to try something more natural. i have terrible/oily skin and i never really use to take care of my face/hair/skin. every product that ive used has done nothing and i figured why not give Lush a try! especially since ive read such great reviews!
the first thing i ever bought from Lush is the Bubble Gum lip balm/scrub, mainly because my lips tend to dry out fast (chapstick is my best friend). its worked wonders but lately i have been forgetting to use it, haha. not only does the scrub help your lips but the smell and taste is delicious! haha.

1. Cupcake / Fresh Face Mask : i bought this specifically for my oily face. ive used it about 3 times since i bought it and it expires in couple days (so, i will be using it tonight and tomorrow). Cupcake has cocoa powder as one of its ingredients which makes your face smell like chocolate! haha. its pretty cool! but not only does it smell yummy, my face just feels so good after rinsing! one thing to keep in mind about the fresh face mask is that they have to be refrigerated and only last for a couple weeks (theyre also only sold in stores and not online). i actually keep forgetting that i have it since its in the ref! haha.

2. Shine So Bright / Hair Treatment : my hair has been damaged for yearrrrrrrs. i havent had a trimmed in forever and my split ends are out of control. well, couple weeks ago i decided that i wanted to dye my hair (which i havent done in about 8 years) so i figured, its time to start taking care of my mane! i trimmed my hair, dyed it and started using this product. its my life savor and its smells sooooo good! i apply it two times a day.

3. Herbalism / Cleanser : i use this product mainly for my face! i cut off my usual face cleansers and switched to this gem. i cant even tell you how amazing this product it. it feels so good on my face and feels even better after rinsing. such a huge difference from the other products i use to use. my face feels so soft! one of the perks is that it also handles my oily skin! ;) i use it every day, morning and night.

4. Breath of God & Aquatic / Toothy Tabs : ive always had a love/hate relationship with toothpaste. you just never know whats good for you and whats not. one day while scrolling through the Lush site i came across the Toothy Tabs and thought "hm. interesting". curiosity hit and my next visit to the store i walked out with two in hand! there were a couple reviews ive read about some of them having a weird smell from the natural ingredients. honestly, it doesnt bug me one bit. the results? amazing! my teeth not only feel good from them but theve whitened! tip: Toothy Tabs come in these cute little cardboard boxes which is good because its recyclable but sucks because once it gets wet your Toothy Tabs are over. i didnt think about this until i read a review and the next couple days the box started getting a bit wet. i bought the Shampoo Bar Tin to put my Toothy Tabs in! so now theyre safe! ;)

5. Sea Spray / Hair Gel : i decided to give this spray a go after reading so many good reviews from my favorite bloggers/instagramers. also because i dont usually put anything in my hair and if i do, its gotta be something good for it. it seriously makes my hair look good, feel good and it smells great! i use it after i curl my hair!

BONUS!
6. Sandstone & Ice Blue / Soap : on my last visit to Lush they gave me a small bag full of samples. out of all of them ive only had a chance to try these two.. and well, i love them! especially Sandstone! i love that it also scrubs. i cant wait to get it on my next visit to the store! :)

Do you like Lush? what are your favorite products?

The Nutty Professor (1963)

i got to see The Nutty Professor (1963) in theaters yesterday. Cinemarks likes to play old school movies here and there for about three days or so. i went searching on Fandango for a movie to watch with my niece and noticed The Nutty Professor playing! my chance to see Jerry Lewis on the big screen?! YES PLEASE!

you may be familiar with the 1996 remake with Eddie Murphy. in my opinion i think they could have done better with that film. its based off the original with a bunch of tweaks and definitely a different feel to the remake. i never really enjoyed it as much. maybe if they had toned it down a bit? different leading actor? i dont know but if youre going to remake a classic, at least make it GOOD. haha.

The Nutty Professor is about a college chemistry professor named Julius Kelps (Jerry Lewis). buck-tooth, accident-prone, nerdy kinda man. always getting picked out, even by the jocks! Given the impression that women like the hunky-hipster type of men, Julius whips up a potion to make him more attractive in hopes of winning the affection of his crush/student, Stella Purdy (Stella Stevens). His transformation makes him a smooth and handsome sleaze ball, who went by the name of Buddy Love. Turns out, Stella would prefer a man like the old professor. As Professor Julius' potion wears off, he is suddenly caught in center stage having stunned the crowed. in the end, he realizes he doesnt want to be something he is not.

it was cool taking my 14 year old niece to see this film in the theaters. what made it great was that we were the only ones in the theater and she really enjoyed the film. i know i very much enjoyed the film. why would i ever miss a chance to see Jerry on the screen!? hehe.

movie: The Nutty Professor (1963)
directed by: Jerry Lewis
starring:  Jerry Lewis, Stella Stevens, De Moore.

How i met a new favorite show

How i Met Your Mother has been the talks for years and i never really wanted to give it a shot. i dont know why but it just never screamed "watch me!" but i have always been curious to know who in the world is this "mother" haha. So, the other day i ended up watching the very first episode and the very last (well, i think it was the last?), so.. i finally know what the title means and who the "mother" is. haha. The show has recently been added to the Nick@Night Television line up, which i wasnt too happy about, untillllll... last night i woke up from a nap and it was playing on tv. i just woke up watching it and ended up watching a bunch of episodes before i went to bed. i knew it would be funny but not so much "laugh out loud", im pretty sure i woke someone up from all the laughs i had, haha! i am now a fan! i will be watching from the beginning now (yay for Netflix!) and hopefully get a bunch of episodes in before my shows start up again! :)

Man Crush Monday : Jamie Dornan

Happy Monday! Which means its time for some #mcm. and for today we have... Jamie Dornan. *sigh*.
Dearest Jamie, you had me at Huntsman when i first saw you on Once Upon a Time. your handsome rugged face, that delicious Irish accent (yes yes yes) and how much you cared for Emma. wow. what a man. i became obsessed and looked forward to seeing you episode after episode. then *SPOILER ALERT* you just had to go off and die :( my heart ached for a good while knowing you werent going to be on OUAT and i hoped they would bring you back somehow. OUAT rumors came about that you would be making appearances but you decided to take on Fifty Shades of Grey (which sucks for OUAT fans, like me) but makes all those Fifty readers happy (oh yeah, like me, again!). haha. so im one of those Fifty Shades obsessed readers (hey, i never said i was innocent ;) ). i actually read the book(s) before it became a "hype". i was bored one night at home and searched for books to read on iBooks and came across the trilogy. what can i say, i like romance. haha. when i found out that they had chosen that Charlie dude from Sons of Anarchy i was pretty upset. to me, he didnt fit the Grey image. then, a miracle happened and he decided not to play the part anymore and they cast Jamie Dornan! happy dances all around. they couldnt have chosen the perfect Grey (image wise), i still dont know how well he'll do as the part of Grey but we'll just have to wait and see ;)

Man Crush Monday : Kevin Zegers

blue eyes and dark hair were truly my thing when i was a little girl. well, still is ;) So, for todays Man Crush Monday.. i introduce to you my other childhood crush, Kevin Zegers! once i saw Kevin in Air Bud it was over for me. those eyes, that smile.. done for! After Air Bud i kind of forgot all about Kevin... until... Gossip Girl! =O Gossip Girl is (or was) one of my favorite shows so when Kevin joined the cast as Damien Daalgard (the druggie/drug dealer) i was soooo flippin happy! he looked even more handsome older! *swoon* nowadays you can find him in the film, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (which i still have not seen because i heard it wasnt that great, but will probably end up watching it in the near future). i hope to see him do some big things soon.. he really is such a handsome dude and a pretty good actor.

i love television

you guys! its almost Fall! which means.. my favorite tv shows are coming back. i already dislike summer and then to take away my shows the entire season, its just complete torture. haha. Luckily i had Wilfred to keep me company but i have been terribly missing my other favorites! I already know that i probably wont even get to watch these when they premiere (work), but thank God, i have Hulu (+). hehe.

The Mindy Project. Mindy Kaling is one of my most favorite human beings and when i found out she was having her own tv show, of course i had to watch it. So, you can call me a die hard fan of this show. before this, i watched New Girl but once Jess and Nick got together the stories became "meh" and i lost interest. All of my attention just went straight to Mindy! haha.
My favorite character(s): Morgan! :)
Tuesday / September 16 / FOX

The Vampire Diaries. if you didnt already know im a pretty huge fan of TVD. to the point where i went to the convention a couple years ago in San Francisco. i nearly passed out once Ian Somerhalder (Damon) and Paul Wesley (Stefan) took the stage. that reminds me, i still need to document that day here on my blog. haha. They have been having the same convention throughout the entire year and the closest one to me is the one in September in Las Vegas (!!!) but looks like i wont be attending this time *tear*. Season 6 will have to do and i absolutely cannot wait. i actually have not seen the last episode of season 5 still.. i just didnt want it to end and have to wait so dang long for the next season. p.s. TVD > Twilight. psh!
My favorite character(s): Lexi (RIP) and Stefan.
Thursday / October 2 / 7pm / CW

Once Upon a Time. i love this show sooooo much! i find it so awesome that these fairy tale/disney characters are apart of the real world. its pretty genius! it almost feels like theyre actually real. haha. Also, one of the things i love is that they tweak some of the stories and some of the characters. If you watch OUAT you know that theyre bringing in the Frozen characters in the new season. im not a huge fan of the movie but im pretty excited to see a live action version of them. oh and thank God the show isnt a musical, haha. Most Sunday nights i spend over at my sisters house, we'll watch OUAT and right after that we watch... (next photo/show below).
My favorite character(s): this is kind of a tough one because there is so many. my currents are; Hook and Robin Hood.
Sunday / September 28 / 8pm / ABC

The Walking Dead. my sister and her husband are long time Walking Dead fans, so every time i would go over, they would be watching it (they would record the shows and watch them together when my bro-in-law would have to work on Sunday nights). but i didnt get into the show until a year ago (when my friends would have Walking Dead nights at their house). because i had already seen most of the episodes before, i started getting into it! BUT, funny thing.. i cant really watch the show by myself.. haha. yeah, im kind of a pansy. haha. Im excited for the premiere of Walking Dead but i think its kind messed up that they would make us wait this long =/
My favorite character(s): Maggie (she was also apart of the TVD clan, known as: Rose) ;)
Sunday / October 12 / 9pm / AMC

What are your favorites?

Man Crush Monday : Elijah Wood

Ive decided to make Man Crush Monday (MCM) apart of my blog. so you can now find my movie talks and reviews under "Movies" haha which is right there on the left. im slowly trying to make this blog my home so you will be seeing some changes here and there. One of the reasons i decided to add this new category on here is because i really do fan-girl over a lot of men. haha. that makes me sound like a hoochie o_o haha. im really not. I feel like all these men have so much more than just their looks and other than their handsomeness some of them have inspired me in some way or another. buuuuuuuuuuuut i also just really fancy them ;)

like many chicks, Elijah Wood was my very first crush! Kevin Zegers was a close second but we'll save that for another MCM. Wilfred is officially over and im excited to see whats next for Elijah. During his time on Wilfred he had other projects like; Happy Feet two, The Hobbit and The Grand Piano (which i still havent seen). Being the DJ (gosh, Elijah, what cant you do?) that he is, he also collab'd with Grado Labs in designing these awesome headphones made of Whiskey Barrels. You can read more about here. i will own them! one day! haha. One of the things i love about Elijah (i mean, besides his eyes) is his sweet spirit. ive not met him (yet) but have seen his interviews and he just seems like an all around good guy. Did you guys use to watch Punk'd? Do you remember when Ashton Kutcher Punk'd Elijah? he's like the sweetest guy on earth, haha. an incident happened and some guy was just mad and yelling at Elijah and Elijah just kept saying sorry, looking frantic. *tear* poor guy haha. What i also love about him? We have the same favorite band (The Smashing Pumpkins) :D

my feelings for Mr. Wood is forever growing.

Fassy Friday & Favorites

Happy Fassy Friday to you all!

____________FAVORITES____________

the quote from the very last episode of Wilfred. #Furwell

one of the coolest cosplays id ever seen. Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler from Jurassic park! genuis. (*)

this photo of Dean Martin and his parents. love.

this awesome Treebeard costume (on the right)! SO GOOD! (*)

though i think that the ASL Awareness can be made in another way (i mean, we're still in a drought), its good to see people spreading an awareness at all and donating. like this.. of Tom Hiddleston.. have you all seen this video? yeah, im happy he donated but can we just sit back and stare at this amazing human god? *sigh*

Boy Meets World was one of my favorite shows in the 90's and Eric was always my favorite. the things he says.. hahah.

last but not least, new toys that i purchased this week! (*)

Comikaze Expo : First Timer

im pretty excited y'all! ill be attending Comikaze for the first time and im pretty excited. ill actually be attending Hello Kitty Con as well (the day before), so its going to be a rad weekend. The only Con ive been to is the Vampire Diaries (omg, Ian Somerhalder was like 15 feet away from me and i got to take a picture with Steven R. Mcqueen!) a couple years ago, so i dont know exactly what to expect from either of these Conventions.
I do know that i want to dress up for both. Lets start off with the Comikaze Expo!

Yep! i want to cosplay as Peter Quill/Star-Lord! Since i dont have much time to "make" anything, i bought his gun online (Meli did a recent post about Cosplay for Dummies: Store Bought and one of the links she recommended was Costume Super Center. thanks, Meli!) . i forgot that he has two, so im still debating whether to buy another or not (what do you think?). anyways, im really excited about cosplaying as Peter Quill, not only do i favor him a lot in GOTG but also because his costume looks comfy. haha. I also love the fact that he wears boots. i love BOOTS! haha. id wear them forever if i could (it just doesnt work in the summer unfortunately *sad faced*).
Now, its time to look for a red leather jacket or something super similar. I will be hunting at thrift stores. wish me luck!

Wilfred : Resistance/Happiness (Spoilers)

so, its been a week since Wilfred ended and im still feeling all sorts of sadness. i really cant believe one of my most favorite tv shows is over! maybe ill get over it when Mindy Project, Once Upon a Time and the Vampire Diaries starts up again. haha. but for now, all i want is my Wilfie back. Watching the last two episodes was really hard for me. i actually watched it on Saturday because i just didnt want it to end. haha. Like with TVD, i actually didnt watch the last episode of season 5 until two months later because i knew i wouldnt be seeing them again until October. yeah, i take my shows seriously. haha. i guess theyre like books to me. i get attached to the characters and the stories that i start to get emotional about them.

Back to Wilfred, if you didnt see the last two episodes and dont want to know a thing then beware of spoilers.. right about.. now...

Episode 9 and 10 of Season 4 were both featured as the finale episodes on Wednesday. Like every Wilfred episode, it starts off with a quote. Episode 9 Resistance: "Resistance is Useless" - Doctor Who (oh how i wish i watched Doctor Who). At the end of episode 8 we find out that Wilfred officially has lung cancer and we finally see Ryan and Jenna together! i actually thought it wasnt going to happen. but it did. they hooked up and she said she wasnt going to hurt him anymore. Episode 9 was really heavy in my heart. We had to sit back and watch Wilfred get put down (they showed the real dog, which i was actually so happy to see!) and we also saw the end of Ryan and Jenna's relationship (i knew it was too good to be true). His love for the girl next door wasnt real and i loved how he told her off. oh and Drew buying a new puppy right after Wilfie's death? too soon buddy! Throughout the episode i began to notice Ryans transformation. In the beginning Ryan tries to commit suicide and is this "pathetic loser" afraid to take chances. During this episode, Ryan has become more aware of things around him, more comfortable with himself and more assertive. thats what i loved about Wilfred. even though he got Ryan into trouble sometimes, he gave Ryan adventures.

Episode 10 Happiness: "Happiness does not to depend on outward things, but on the way we see them." - Leo Tolstoy. The quote fit so perfectly with the last episode. During this episode we finally find the answers. im not sure what exactly was the answer i was looking for but it was right in front of us the whole time. Wilfred was simply part of Ryan's mental illness. Which also explains his attempt to commit suicide once again. During the final episode, Ryan finds all the answers. His dad not being his real dad and his real dad being a cult leader of the Flock of the Grey Shepard. Ryan then finds out that Wilfred is just not real and everything that Wilfred "made him do" or all the "tricks" he did was just all Ryan himself.. He discards Wilfred from his life and in the end he realizes how much he misses him and needs him. At the end we see Ryan and Wilfred (man in the dog suit not the actual dog) together once again.

i think the ending was just perfect. the fact that Ryan accepted himself and brought Wilfred back into his life. Im still sad that real dog Wilfred is dead but i happy to know the imaginary man is still around. like ive said before, im so sad this show ended but really happy it even existed. haha. Elijah Wood and Jason Gann were the perfect duo and i hope to see them both in another show (or movie) in the future. Also, i feel like Jason Gann should be more famous than he actually is! that guys is genius and super freakin hilarious.
Kudos to David Zuckerman for developing a great show! You did an amazing job, sir!

p.s. the artwork featured above is my fan art! Fun fact: my Wilfred and Bear illustration was retweeted by the Wilfred official Twitter (OMG) and the watercolor one i did of the cast (bottom right) was retweeted by Fiona (Jenna) and Dorian (Kristen)! they also tweeted me which was awesome! that was my ultimate FAN GIRL moment! that and the time Edgar Wright retweeted and then tweeted me! *dead*

thanks for reading! i hope you enjoyed the finale episodes as well as the entire 4 seasons! x

Art Lately : Elsa

as of late, i have actually been in the process of creating my art into brooches and randomly painting in my watercolor book (by random, i mean when i have the time). last night before bed though i had the urge to digitally doodle. im not a huge Frozen fan. when i first saw the film i loved it but wasnt so big on the music (sorry guys!) and pretty much fell in love with Olaf (i seriously died laughing in the theater) and Kristoff the most. but i did like the animation aspect of it! which is why i love drawing Elsa. i have yet to draw Anna. that will come soon!

OUTATIME

added a new print to shop! BACK TO THE FUTURE! BTTF is my favorite movie, ever (first one being my very favorite)! i cant even tell you how many times ive seen the trilogy. i remember one summer, i slept over my cousins house and all we did was watch BTTF. no joke, after it was over, we started it over from the beginning. this went on, everyday.. morning to night. haha. crazy kids, huh!? ;) but anyways, i have been wanting to make BTTF art to add to my shop but havent had much time. usually nights before a day i have to work all day, ill go to bed super early. but my mind was just in creative mode and i really wanted to get this one done and added to my shop! so i went to bed at 1am =/ which i kind of regret because i only got 4 and half hours of sleep and im currently at work fighting to stay awake. on top of that i have work at the coffee shop until 9ish pm. im only complaining at the fact that i need sleep. and food. other than that.. i really like how my BTTF print came out. its super simple but i think its quite fun! hope you guys like it too! you can get it here!

Art Lately

i really wish i could say that i have new art lying around. but i dont. and that makes me really sad. in fact, im actually behind on custom orders so creating new art is going to take a while. i knew that time was going to be very limit once i started my second job but not only that, it has made me super exhausted. when i get home from a full day of work (7:30am-9:45pm) all i want to do is EAT, read a comic or watch a 30 minute tv show and go to bed. haha. this is where i really have to try to get stuff done when im not working at the coffee shop. energy is much needed!!! so, anyone waiting for their custom order, thank you for being so patient with me. also, to everyone and anyone! i have this coupon code for 10% off orders over $5+ that sends to your email when you purchase from my shop. in case you havent been getting it, its: ROSA10. ;)
happy shopping! x

Guardians of the Galaxy

i got to see Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) yesterday! i took my nephew with me. i mean, there really was no one else better to see a Marvel movie with. haha. i love when i anticipate to see a movie so bad and it turns out exactly how i expected it.. awesome! GOTG was straight up fun, funny and action packed!

Chris Pratt did such an amazing job as Peter Quill. He has always been a very well liked actor and extremely hilarious, so he fit the part so well. i think its great that he has become apart of the Marvel family. I was also so siked to see Lee Pace' performance as Ronan. im such a huge fan of his! Pace (to me) just never disappoints. and i think thats why he's able to play such a variety of characters (a pie maker, vampire, elf). it was great seeing him as a Marvel villian and im pretty happy he has become apart of the Marvel family as well. That being said, id have to say Peter Quill and Ronan were my favorites from the film.

But i mean, that doesnt mean i didnt like Rocket and Groot. those two.. amazing freakin characters. tell me why i couldnt picture Bradley Cooper every time Rocket talked. haha. so weird. Rocket was seriously a bad-ass character! Groot, a lovable character and its pretty funny how Vin Diesel only had like two lines (repeating one of them). haha. oh yeah, and theres Drax! i liked his character but i think he stood out the least, for me.

Zoe Saldana as Gamora, she was fantastic. i loved her fight scenes. most of all, i was seriously digging her green makeup. haha. which steers me into the direction of... She-Hulk. is anyone else hoping they'd do a She-Hulk movie? i am! i mean, if theres already talks about this, please send me links. im not sure who would make a great She-Hulk but i would love for her to get her own movie and join the Avengers!

i have to say that i was also excited to see Peter Serafinowicz in the movie! he stared in Spaced, Star Wars Episode I (as my favorite, Darth Maul) and Shaun of the Dead ( my favorite Cornetto film). Hes such a handsome lad! :)
ok, overall, this movie was seriously amazing!! i enjoyed it from beginning to end. i really want to see it for a second time! if you have no seen it, please do!!!

movie: Guardians of the Galaxy
directed by: James Gunn
starring:  Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista + more.
rated: PG-13
recommend: YES!
rating: worth seeing in theaters and seeing it twice or thrice!

BUT him as Bucky/Winter Soldier is definitely good enough. So amazing as that character! anyways, my friend sent me this on Pinterest a couple days ago and i about died.

Le Tunes : The Strokes

so i dont know if youve noticed but ive added a new feature to my blog a couple weeks ago. on the top right corner you'll see "Tune of the Week". i havent talked about it but i think its a good combination with Music Crush Mondays. Every week i feature my favorite bands, music, radio, comedies and even new music ive recently discovered (probably new to JUST me, since i dont listen to the radio haha). you can click on that photo of the featured artist and it will direct you to my Spotify playlist! So, i hope you have Spotify! haha.

this weeks tunes goes out to... The Strokes... duh ;) my favorite band, ever, ever. The Smashing Pumpkins is a close second! i love them too haha. anywho, back to the Strokes. its rare for me that i can actually sit and listen to every song on an album. One of the reason i love the Strokes so much is that i could listen to all five of their entire albums without skipping a song. Yup! True love man!

i have actually seen The Strokes live, once! it was amazing. i wish i got to see them more than that but it just never happens. a month ago, i bought a ticket to see Julian Casablancas (& The Voidz) for their show in San Francisco November 9th! soooo, thats definitely something im really excited for! its not the whole enchilada but Julian is seriously good enough :) his voice is one of my favorites!

you can listen to a playlist i made by clicking on their photo under Tune of the Week :)

Weekend Recap

still, have not seen any new films. major bummer. Guardians of the Galaxy comes out this friday and i realllllly hope i get to see it. i will actually be working both my full-time and part-time job that day and wont be getting off till 9:45ish pm. haha. i dont even care if im tired, i need to go see it. Speaking of part-time job, if you follow me on Instagram you already know where my second job lies. yes, i now work at Peets Coffee and Tea! yay. All that time spent there i get offered a job. its pretty sweet! im both excited and nervous. nervous because im actually the shyest person you will ever meet. haha. i just have to pull it together to talk to customers. the funny thing is i applied there when it first opened in my town but didnt get the job. haha.

you might have also seen the recent video i did of the surfer dude, surfing to The Drums song "Let's Go Surfing". it was my entry to the This is Ground x Grado contest on Instagram! i had fun making that one but did it pretty quick. there was a bunch of details i wanted to add.

i bought two new toy this Saturday (i would have bought more but they didnt have the Funko Pop i wanted). i didnt feel too bad buying Cap because he was actually on clearance. i really shouldnt be buying toys, so when its on sale i dont feel too bad. haha. The Mark Hamill Simpsons toy on the other hand.. it was not on sale but i just really HAD to get it. haha.

My friend celebrated her birthday at a place called Grill 'em Steak House in Campbell, Ca. it was pretty cool sports bar. the whole cooking your steak thing was weird to me at first but when we did it, it was actually pretty fun. i have actually never grilled a steak before so i was a bit worried. it came out good! but next time ill take it off a litttttle bit sooner. i like mine rare to medium rare. hehe.

this weekend was sooooooooooooo hot that i spent my Sunday at home. no tv on (surprisingly), just music and drawing (and coffee). i dont know about you guys but i really hate summer. its the worst for me, walking outside is just torture. im really looking forward to the fall/winter sooo badly. hurrrrrrry!

yeah! Home-I-Con was pretty much me the entire time Comic Con was happening. i think i almost cried like 30,000 times and actually cried like 5 times from peoples post's and pictures. so torturous. haha. i was also searching forever for that little Batman vs Superman teaser trailer and finally found it. haha. i cant wait for it! Gal Gadot looks sooooo gorgeous as Wonder Woman! Also, i know theres a new Walking Dead teaser floating around too.. i refuse to watch it! i just cant watch it, get excited and still have to wait!! October is so dang far!! haha.

i read the Nerdy Girlies SDCC post' and im pretty jealous of her photo with Elijah Wood =P here i go again, crying.... haha. im so happy for her though! and everyone else that had a great time! ill see you guys next year, FOR SURE!  xx

oh and heres my video of the Surfer dude.....

Stop-motion fun : Party Party App

Alien Invasion by Rosa De Los Reyes

have you (iphoners) downloaded the Party Party App yet? im kind of in love with it! its like an app for Stop-motion beginners. haha. i use to do random (super short) stop-motion videos years ago and ones that ive done recently, ill use Flipagram (a plus with that app, is that you can add recordings/music). What i love about the Party Party App is that they have really good filters! The only "bad" thing i could say about it is that it should have its own album in the App so that all your videos are saved onto there.. because when you save it as a video but forget to save it as a GIF. or accidentally delete in your camera roll, its gone :(

if youre following me on Instagram you might have seen the 3 stop-motion videos i did, using the Party Party App! the one above is the latest one i posted! i use construction paper to create it. it was a lot of fun to do! i was at work yesterday and did a story board of this! came out exactly how i imagined it haha.

Art Lately

if youre following me on Instagram, youve already seen the art work above :) the painting of Buster was a gift for one of my friends (hes moving back to Sweden on Monday *sad faced*). so i really wanted to gift him something special. his favorite character from Arrested Development is.. Buster! i kind of love how it turned out so im making prints of him soon! the Rod Serling painting was one that i did this week! im a serious Twilight Zone nerd so it was only a matter of time till i did some fan art :) i still have the original but i also made some prints available in my shop, here. have you ever been so proud and happy with how your art turned out? this is one of them for me. i really like my Rod painting. haha. the middle photo is a painting im working on of...........do you know who it is?.............. its Brick (Steve Carell) from Anchorman. haha. i love his character so much in that movie! im also in the process of working on a Detroit Rock City (one of my most favorite films) painting. ahhh. im so excited. these ideas are killing me though, i didnt realize how behind i am on customs. i hope no one hates me =/ anyway, im trying to get a ton of work done before i start my second job! wish me luck :)

who would you like me to paint??

Everyday Cosplay : Stefan Salvatore (TVD)

another Salvatore brother *swoon* if you didnt already know, im actually team Stelena ;) haha. i LOVE Damon but ive been rooting for Stefan and Elena since the beginning. i mean, i love bad boys but i also love them sweet ones. and Stefan is definitely that sweet guy! his everyday cosplay is pretty simple. Stefan is pretty simple! youll always catch him wearing a plain shirt with a hoodie and jacket! i actually have that jacket up there, i love it! i think my favorite from this EC is the ring! it fits the Salvatore ring so well and it has that old/vintage look to it. i also added a backpack (which i reallllly want!) because, well, Stefan is just always leaving, always got somewhere to go. haha. hope you liked this one! x

MI Ghost Protocol

when it comes to Tom Cruise movies, i usually stay away. i dont know when my dislike for him started but i know it was sometime before high school. i remember when we had to watch one of his movies in History class (cant remember what it was) and i was seriously irritated. haha. the only exception to Tom Cruise movies would be Top Gun and War of the Worlds. so why on earth would i watch Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011)?

yesterday i was watching tv, well sorta, it was just on while i was doing something, probably on my phone. what made me look up was the score of the movie. it was the beginning credits and that score grabbed my attention. all i kept thinking was, "sounds like a Michael Giacchino score.." (who is one of my favorite composers) and while i was guessing i saw that it said "Directed by Brad Bird" (one of my favorite directors annnnd who directed my favorite Pixar film, The Incredibles) and i was suddenly interested. i also recognized the score sounding like Mission Impossible theme but i knew that i had to put aside Tom Cruise and just give it a try! alsooooo... i think the first scene had Simon Pegg in it, so i knew i just had to put the remote away. haha.

i know, i know.. im really late watching this film and i totally skipped like all the other MI films before this.. but whatever. haha. i also forgot that Jeremy Renner was in the film. hes pretty hott. haha. fun fact: Jeremy is from Modesto, California (which is a little over an hour from where i live). my cousin actually knew him and went to a community college with him. pretty rad!

anyways, i actually really liked this film! it was funny and filled with action! totally forgot that Tom Cruise was Tom Cruise throughout the whole film. im sorry, Tom. for being such a jerk and refusing you. haha. i will give more Tom Cruise movies a try. TRY ;)

movie: Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol
directed by: Brad Bird
starring: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton
rated: PG-13
recommend: Yes!
rating: worth seeing in theaters (i really should have!)

My Disney Pin Collection

i actually did a post of of my Disney Pin Collection, a year or two ago, but i cant find it. haha. my collection is still really small but its slowly growing. i ended up getting an annual pass in February (ive only gone twice so far =/) which led me to getting my very first lanyard. it was a toughy picking out the perfect one.. but of course, i picked Star Wars! haha. on my last trip to Disneyland (April) i didnt end up getting a pin for myself. i was so picky the night i was looking for one and i didnt want to spend more than i wanted to. i realize now that i should have just gotten the one i really wanted. haha. (it was Jessica Rabbit and Roger Rabbit). im a wee bit picky when it comes to the Disney pins. its gotta mean something to me haha. like i dont want to buy it just because, i have to really like it.. i have to really like the characters/theme.
my small Roger Rabbit collection! these are my most favorite pins. i LOVE Roger Rabbit. He is my absolute favorite Disney character (next to Pinocchio). i got the first two online and the third one on my trip to Disneyland in February! its funny, usually when i go to Disneyland my mind tends to think i should get gifts for people. i never end up getting anything for myself. but i realize... i really should start! haha. so i gifted myself that pin (along with a couple more) :) Kermit & Miss Piggy were pins that i bought off of an online friend on Instagram! i love the Muppets.. a lot. and then theres Jiminy and Pinocchio. words cant explain how much i love Pinocchio. i think the fact that the film is so much more than just a boy. i had my friend get me these pins when she went to Disneyland a couple years ago.
Star Wars! Darth Maul is my favorite Star Wars character (& R2D2) so it was a must have to get that pin! i actually got that one online. the Storm Trooper pin i got when i went to Disneyland in February. my goal is to get all them SW pins! haha. My Mickey & Minnie SF Giants pins! never knew i would ever love baseball. haha. i use to hate it. but i attended my first SF Giants game 5 or so years ago and i loved it. so, of course.. Disney and the SF Giants all in one. DUH! :) got them at the AT&T Park. now, if only they had 49er Disney pins =O haha. my little Pixar collection.. Mr. Pricklepants is my favorite Toy Story character! i got him a couple years ago when i went to Disneyland. it was, i think, the first Disney trading pin i ever bought. i love it. Luxo was bought, again, in February. that one was a no brainer. i had to get it! haha. Smitty (from Monsters Inc) was purchased through Ebay, last year. i found him and Needleman (his bff) on there and i had to get them! i gave Needleman to my best friend for her birthday! i cherish that pin.. not only because my best friend is apart of it but also because they dont make those pins anymore.
thats my very small Disney pin collection! i only started a couple years ago.. soooo.. im slowly getting there. haha. if you know any Instagramers (or anyone) with legit pins theyre selling, let me know! x

Fassy Friday & Favorites

Happy Fassy Friday! Seriously, this face makes Fridays the best (well, any day actually!) haha.

FAVORITES:
Who's on First: as ive mentioned in my Twilight Zone post, Spotify has the TZ radio dramas available. well, they also have comedies as well (this is why i prefer Spotify over Pandora!). Spotify has a section called "word" under Genre & Moods. its probably my favorite section! they have my favorite "Sci-Fi Radio Dramas" and "Old School Laughs" - which includes Abbott & Costello! you can listen to them, here!

Time Machine to the 90's: im such a fan of Kate! she is always creating the cutest/coolest things ever. (i mean, i recently purchased some pins from her new shop, Your Fan Club, and they are so cute!). Kate posted about this new product on her blog and i remember seeing it on her Instagram. i wondered whatever happened to it and well, its now listed in her online shop, Sweet & Lovely! after reading her blog post, i IMMEDIATELY purchased my own Time Machine to the 90's! haha. im so excited to get it! :)

Parlor Tattoos: another artist that i recently followed on Instgram, @parlor_tattoo_prints! holy cow! no words to describe this womans talent! her work is incredible and i immediately fell in love with her Shaun of the Dead piece! which, in fact, i will be getting a tattoo of (after i purchase the print of course)! im so excited! my love for Simon Pegg and Shaun of the Dead on me forever? heck yes! you can visit Quyen's Etsy shop, here!

Cuteness Craving for Embroidery: so, i recently found this amazinggggg artist on Instagram (@iggystarpup) and im so in love with her work. i mean, check out those Simpson embroidery hoops! are you kidding me!? its LEGIT. i love her feed and im just in awe of her craftsmanship! check out her Etsy shop, here! she also does custom orders!

Anything Pizza, i love!: gosh, im so in love with everything Jenny & Aaron create! they are the talented duo (Everyday is a Holiday) that did this deliciously looking cheese pizza die cut! seriously? that looks so real! haha. and they are packaged in pizza boxes? is that not fun or what? you can purchase your slice in there online shop, here! whatever you prefer, the classic pepperoni or the classic plain cheese! now im hungry..

The Place is Here, The Time is Now: i really cant obsess enough over The Twilight Zone! and im really sorry if it gets annoying, haha. but please take the time to watch some episodes. Hulu + has all the seasons! :)

Cazz's Rufio Moment: i loved seeing Cazz' Rufio Cosplay process on her Instagram! She posted her time at Oz ComicCon on her blog - Nerd Burger - and im seriously so happy for her.. she got to meet Dante Basco! whaaaaat? i watched her Vlog about it too and i was totally feeling her excitement! thats probably how i would feel meeting Simon Pegg :)

My Opera Singer: another favorite would be that George Komsky tweeted me back on Twitter (@georgekomsky) and followed me on Instagram, haha. i kinda freaked out a bit. i mean, ive become a fan of his after seeing him sing. sooooooo... im pretty darn happy! :)

hope you all have a great friday/weekend! x
