Tea Party Wonderland: Decor 3

Today was a very good thrifting day! I found these lovely tea plates which are gonna be used for displaying food, a candle holder of some sort which will be used as a "cake" stand, AND i was lucky enough to find this cute little bunny laying around! I cant wait to put everything together.
Peachy-pink fabric (from Walmart) will be used as a backdrop for a photobooth.
Blue fabric (from Walmart) will be used for the main table. Thinking of purchasing a long table cloth and putting this fabric on top.
This floral fabric (from Walmart) will be used for favors!

Perks of Aurora on Etsy

Isnt this pretty much the coolest mug ever? Well, to me it is! This was gifted to me by one of my friends for my birthday and i absolutely love it! Love it enough to blog about it. haha. On my mug is an illustration of SNL's Gilly who is played by Kristen Wigg. Gilly is one of my favorite characters and the skits are hilarious. I especially loved when you would hear "Gillyyyyyy" from Will Forte (who is no longer an SNL cast anymore, *tear*).
Found out from my friend that this mug was from an Etsy shop called "Perks of Aurora" - also found out that this artist came up with a ton of other brilliant mugs! Including Stefon (from SNL, played by Bill Hader), Arrested Development mugs; like this "Never Nude" one and they also sell cards. How awesome are they? Please go check out the work of Chelsea Hamasaki at Perks of Aurora.

NOW YOU SEE ME

Dave Franco (Jack), Isla Fisher (Henley), Woody Harrelson (Merrit) & Jesse Eisenberg (J. Daniel) in Now You See Me

Yesturday i got to watch "Now You See Me"! I have been wanting to watch it since i first saw the previews. it looked so entertaining and well.. Dave Franco. Nuff said. haha. If you havent heard of the film, click here and see what its all about. First off, GREAT cast! I loved every character. Jesse Eisenberg fit his character so very well. Ive always been very intrigued by him and the way he talks. Very attractive. Well, second, the movie is about magic and illusions and i wont say more than that. haha. Third, if you love movies that are very entertaining and keeps you guessing, watch it! I honestly loved it & i do recommend it.

Tea Party Wonderland: Decor 2

Here is what ive done since my last post! Im also thinking of adding a hint of gold & silver glitter to some of the tea pots, tea cups, etc. for a little pop! I was pretty excited to find some fake flowers for sale at Michaels.. i keep wanting to draw faces them! haha. I cant believe the party is so near, i got a ton of things to do! :) Tonight i will get started on Alice in Wonderland props and displays! Will post some tomorrow.

Tea Party Wonderland: Decor 1

Thank God for Michaels! I went to find some things to decorate my nieces "Tea Party Wonderland" birthday party coming up next Saturday and i found a bunch of tea party things! I bought a big teapot plaque and some mini teapots, cupcakes and tea cups. Then found an "A" in the clearance section, as well as a little cake stand. I also bought doilies (which are a "must need" for tea parties, of course!) and a metal trinket (not picture). Its a lot of fun searching for decorations for this party and im excited to see how it looks in the end!

Of course, i had to paint all of them! I used Martha Stewart Crafts paint and sticked with pastels!

Stay tuned for more.
