Perks of Aurora on Etsy

Isnt this pretty much the coolest mug ever? Well, to me it is! This was gifted to me by one of my friends for my birthday and i absolutely love it! Love it enough to blog about it. haha. On my mug is an illustration of SNL's Gilly who is played by Kristen Wigg. Gilly is one of my favorite characters and the skits are hilarious. I especially loved when you would hear "Gillyyyyyy" from Will Forte (who is no longer an SNL cast anymore, *tear*).
Found out from my friend that this mug was from an Etsy shop called "Perks of Aurora" - also found out that this artist came up with a ton of other brilliant mugs! Including Stefon (from SNL, played by Bill Hader), Arrested Development mugs; like this "Never Nude" one and they also sell cards. How awesome are they? Please go check out the work of Chelsea Hamasaki at Perks of Aurora.

New Store Announcement

i decided to switch my shop to  Storenvy, FINALLY.
ive had my Storenvy account for a while now and have been going back and forth to Etsy, trying to figure out what shop would be best.
I have had my Etsy shop for a really long time and Rosalyn's Pretty Things is what everyone knows.. But the pricings have been killing me like crazy and i needed a shop that wasnt going to stress me out.
So far, im really like Storenvy, its pretty neat how you can design your own page and what not.
Another important announcement; i also changed the name of my store to "Pretty Clementine". One of the reasons for that is because "Rosalyn's Pretty Things" was apparently too long? i dont know. But i figured it would be cool to start a fresh new name. Pretty Clementine obviously came from both Rosa Clementine & Rosalyn's Pretty Things, so thats where i got the name :)

In my new store, you will find a bunch of new things. Not just prints, paintings & felt brooches but also accessories and "shop my closet" option.
Im really excited to get everything my shop! I just started it, so getting everything in there will take some time.
I hope you all like the new store!

Paintings & Prints

One of my favorite paintings from my pastel collection is now turned into prints, pretty awesome! They turned out great! And i cant wait to add them onto my Etsy Shop.
I will do that soon, but you can purchase the original painting (acrylic & glitter) once its up in my new store! Also, postcards will be added in the store as well.

Rosalyn's Pretty Things on Etsy

Lately, i have been having a grand time drawing.
Mostly because im starting to develop a new style (i.e. numbers 1 & 4).
I picked four of my favorite right now, that are available in my shop.

So todays post, i would like to share some info on these 4 pieces.

1. BFF - Minnie and Daisy: I am a huge Disney fan and i have been trying to figure out how else can i incorporate Disney into my work. Well, since ive been practing my new style.. i decided to draw something Disney-ish with it.
So, i started off with a girl dressed as Minnie Mouse & eating Disneylands famous Mickey Mouse ice cream. OH, then i drew a girl dressed as Daisy Duck out of the blue, I also drew her holding Disneylands incredible churro! I was just at Disneyland 2-3 weeks ago, sooooo i was craving that churro pretty badly while drawing that. I guess that was my inspiration. haha.
During the process of Daisy i then thought of putting them both together and making this a Disney BFF print. You can find this beauty in my shop!

2. Ice Cream Head: So, for those of you who do not know, i love dessert. I am a huge donut fan but ice cream would be my other lover. I drew Ice Cream Head as a doodle & colored it with color pencils. I fell in love with it so much that i decided to make it into a print! You can find this print in my shop.

3. Postcards: I just recently decided to add postcards to my shop! it took me a while because i really didnt know what type of art i wanted to display on them. Not to long ago i finished 4 paintings, i actually feel that theyre probably some of my best work and if someone decides to purchase the original paintings ill never see them again.. or other people wont get to see them or purchase them. So, i turned those 4 paintings into postcards :) you can find a pack of all four postcards here, available in my shop! Also, the original paintings: Ms Winona Winchcombe, Ms Bianca Bunny, Ms Delilah Dillingham, Ms Scarlett Skunk.

4. Donuts Does the Body Good: Of course, donut lover over here. that was pretty much my inspiration for this print! It took me a while to figure out if i should add some color to it or not! but i love the black and white simplicity to it and wanted to at least make the donut pop! So this is what i got! :)

Another Comeback?

So i guess the reason that i havent been blogging is that i dont have too many readers and that my life isnt all too exciting. haha. But, i really want to get serious about blogging starting 2013.
Recently, i have been working non-stop.
Monday-Friday i work until 6pm then after that i work on a bunch of customs until im ready to go to bed! Its been quite exhausting, but i defintely feel blessed.
Cant thank God enough for my talent. i truly love it.
Below is a drawing i did days ago. I been digging deep into my imagination lately :)

Here is another illustration i did! I actually made it into a listing in my shop! Its a cartoony drawing of Cece and Jess from New Girl. One of my favorite shows :)
Please take a look at my Etsy shop for more illustrations and keep a look out for more drawings :)
