I love theme nights at the ball park! theyre so much fun! last year my friends and i attended Pixar Night at the SF Giants game and it was so much fun! We went all out with a Pixar theme vest! i had a lot of fun creating them. I also got to see John Lasseter throw the opening pitch! ah! I got to attend Heroes and Comics night this past Saturday. Of course, the special guest was Stan Lee! but what happens when you take the rapid transit from Fremont to San Francisco and have to walk a mile to the stadium? You're 10 minutes late :( so i didnt get to see him throw the pitch BUT i still had a lot of fun! :) There was even a race in the water by the ball park between Batman, Spiderman, Superman and the Hulk! it was hilarious. Superman won! i was rooting for Spiderman haha.
For the Heroes and Comics theme i went as Magneto, as ive said before :) for some reason i knew the whole dress thing wouldnt work out, so i bought a purple shirt (the day before) and pretty much wore whatever i had in my closet. i even painted my nails purple! Im hoping to attend a couple more games this year.. including Star Wars Day! i will most likely be wearing a Jedi robe that day. haha.
i had a blast with my best friend! we dont hang out so much anymore =/ so it was really such a treat to get to hang out that night! above are photos of us, my outfit, the game and note the photo on the bottom right.. a photo of Angel Pagan batting! my voice was gone after than game.. haha ugh, hes so handsome.
and of course, this post just wouldnt be complete if i didnt add this photo. channelled Magneto at the ball park. haha.
p.s. we WON. sorry, Mets ;)

Star Wars : Where Science Meets Imagination
In March, i got to FINALLY go to the Star Wars exhibit at the San Jose Tech Museum. It started in October 2013 until the end of March. I was so bummed that it took me so long to go but i seriously couldnt find anyone to go with. like ive said before (on my twitter).. i need more nerdy friends. haha. So, i ended up taking my niece and nephew. i was planning to take them anyway (hoping id go more than once). I love how i can inspire them to be geeky! both my niece and nephew have inherited my love for Star Wars. i love how i can talk to them about it and even other geeky categories, like; Captain America & Comics. The Star Wars exhibit was sooooooo awesome! i was so sad when we got to the end that i made us start over from the beginning again. haha. here are some photos i captured:
one of the things that i was hoping to see, was anything of Darth Maul (my favorite Star Wars character - & R2) but there wasnt anything of his. *sad faced*. i think maybe there was his lightsaber but i cant remember. anyways, it was pretty great and im so glad i went!!! i would be crazy if i didnt go! =O
Its a bummer that its over BUT i just discovered that theres this Jedi workshop thing happening in the museum.
i gotta check it out!!
oh, by the way, check out my interview over at The Nerdy Girlie!
and follow her if you havent! shes the nerdiest of the nerds and she is awesome!!

Stanford Pow Wow 2014
im so was thrilled to have FINALLY attended the Stanford Pow Wow in Palo Alto, CA. I have a few friends who go almost every year and this past Saturday i got to go :) i was a lot of fun and really neat. My favorite part was seeing the Aztec dance. Im pretty obsessed, i kind of want to learn the dance! The Stanford Pow Wow happens every year on Mothers Day weekend. Friday - Sunday. heres some photos i got to capture from the event.
so i may or may have not fallen in love with one of the Aztec dancers. idk. haha. anyway, i would love to find more pow wows here in the Bay! I also cant wait to go to next years Stanford Pow Wow! What a long wait! haha. anyone living in Cali should possibly make it trip to next years! i came home with a dream catcher. hoping it will catch all of my zombie dreams and leave me with the good. that night i dreamt i was with Simon Pegg. So far, so good :) haha.

Disneyland - February
this valentines and presidents weekend was spent at the happiest place on earth!
I truly love Disneyland so much that I decided to........
get an Annual Pass!
its seriously worth the money. I get to pay monthly and get discounts on food and merch!
I got to finally ride the Cars ride for the first time!
I think its probably one of the best!
I was so amazed at the whole entire ride, how it looks so much like the animation.
I was highly impressed! I couldn't contain my amazement..
there were a ton of "omg" "wow" "are you serious!?" haha.
the trip was so much fun! the only downfall was the fact that I got NO sleep at all.
like, AT ALL. no exaggeration. so I was completely dead the whole day.
another, I will be wearing comfortable shoes next time. my feet and legs are
still killing me. haha. and last but not least.. I will be purchasing one of those
portable chargers. I don't know why but Disneyland has this sort of force
field that does not let you have reception (no matter what carrier you have) and drains your battery!
at the end of the night I ended up with 1% on my phone. I only used it for a couple
hours in the morning and that was it and saved the 5% to take photos of the fireworks. haha.
So, i didn't get to take pictures of a lot of things!
Disneyland, please fix this.

I think they should definitely offer some sort of wifi, I don't even care
if I have to pay a tad more.. let me use my phone!! haha.
i want to go back next month but i know for sure i will be going back in April!
For my birthday :) yay!
So, i have been sucking so bad at blogging lately.
i hit some sort of "bloggers-block" and then i got super sick
which made me not want to do anything at all.
Sorry!
I should be posting more of my drawings on here but you can find all of them

Edwardian Ball 2014
I love that its only January and im already discovering new things. Like Ive said before, I have been living in the Bay Area all my life and I have continued to discover new things around here! One of them being...... the Edwardian Ball! If you are following me on Instagram you might have seen some photos that I have posted from the event. If you are not following me, then you must be wondering what the Edwardian Ball is?! Its a celebration full of music, art, fashion, theater, circus and the creations of the author, Edward Gorey! Every things set in a whimsical, Edwardian, steampunk theme! You can read all about it here! Its held once a year in both San Francisco and Los Angeles! I actually had just heard all about this last Tuesday and bought my ticket for Fridays event the night before. haha. I really wanted to go to Saturdays Ball but I think for my first time.. Friday would sufficed. it was one of the coolest things I have ever witnessed! Everyone was dressed in such amazing outfits. Some were even in character! dancing and acting all around the place. It was held at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. Which fit the whole theme perfectly! it was so Victorian and vintage. The event had about 3-4 levels full of partying. kinda. downstairs was actually a Vendors Bazaar.. people had booths and tables full of their Edwardian creations, it was so cool! I took some photos id like to share in this post but I apologize in advance for the crappy lighting =/ it was quite dark in there.
the upper room.
downstairs (Vendor Bazaar) with live music.
some Vendor Bazaar creations. I really wanted that Lion necklace.
me & my friend, Stephanie.
Vendor Bazaar.
main room. live entertainment.
main room.
live painting in the upper room.
I had so much fun and I cant wait for next years event! thinking of probably making it a tradition ;) I really cant wait to put my whole outfit together. ive already got it planned and ive got a whole year to create it. haha. If youre in the Bay Area or LA (you can still catch the LA Edwardian Ball on February 8th!) and looking for something new/fun, you have got to check out the Edwardian Ball! Its definitely a memorable event!

youve got red on you
Shaun of the Dead is one of my most favorite films, ever. I knew at the beginning of the year that I wanted to be Shaun Riley for Halloween! But.. of course.. I waited until the night before and the morning of Halloween to put my costume together. haha. I mean, not that it was hard. but I was extremely exhausted from my trip to LA and really only had about 2-3 hours Wednesday night to go to 4 different stores and put everything together. the outfit was good and ready to go but by the time I finished I became even more tired. So I didn't get to create my Foree Electric badge AND make a cricket bat :( So I woke up a little earlier than usual and created my badge on Illustrator, printed it at work and put it together by taping it onto a piece of cardboard and attaching a pin to the back.
I went to work dressed as Shaun but no one really knew who I was. haha. I actually didn't put my tie on till later so maybe people thought I was just dressed in white shirt with red ink leaking. Actually, when I went to Wallmart on my lunch to get my tie, a man had stopped me and said "excuse me Ma'am, your pen is leaking" haha. I giggled and said that it was meant to look like that but thank you! haha he laughed.
at night I got to put some blood on my shirt! YAY! haha. not as much as I really wanted to since I was hugging and carrying the baby. If I wear this costume again I want to add more blood and definitely have a cricket bat this time. haha. im thinking of being Shaun again for Cosplay at Comic Con! This Halloween I stayed with my family and went trick or treating with my niece and nephew. it was a lot of fun. cold but still fun.
I think this costume is one of my most favorites (a close tie to the one time I was Frodo), even though it was simple this costume was more than just a costume. it represents my love for the movie itself, the Cornetto Trilogy, being an Edgar Wright fan and being in love with Simon Pegg (haha). I think next year i miiiight be Gary King from The worlds End. maybe. i would love to be one of the Marmalade Sandwich girls if i had two friends that would like to join in! haha. We'll see!
shirt - wallmart / tie - wallmart / badge - handmade / blood - party city
Hope you guys had a great Halloween!! :)
Happy Friday!
